Everyone deserves respect and an opportunity to grow. At The People’s Security, we’re a young company with guards across America who are motivated to be great at what they do. We understand this industry because we’ve lived it ourselves. We know the long hours, the pressure, the lack of communication some companies have, and the importance of teamwork, professionalism, and trust. My name is Darius Belcher, and I’ve worked in security for over 12 years. I started in South Carolina working nightclub security and expanded into theme parks, dispensaries, concerts, sporting events, and private security throughout California. Through those experiences, I’ve seen both the good and bad sides of this business. That’s why I believe in building something different — a company built on communication, accountability, and respect for both clients and guards. At The People’s Security, safety always comes first. Every guard is background checked, and we understand that not everyone in this industry is the same.

The most important values to me when it comes to security work are respect, communication, professionalism, accountability, and teamwork. I believe security is more than just standing post — it’s about protecting people, keeping environments safe, and making clients feel comfortable and respected at all times. What makes The People’s Security different is that we truly understand the guard experience because we’ve lived it ourselves. I’ve worked in security for over 12 years in multiple environments including nightclubs, theme parks, concerts, dispensaries, sporting events, and private protection. I’ve seen what works and what doesn’t in this industry. I want my company to stand out by treating guards with respect and making sure they are supported, motivated, and properly prepared to do their jobs. That includes communication, transportation assistance when needed, professionalism, and creating a team environment where everyone feels valued. When guards are taken care of, they perform at their best.

Unique insights from diverse experience

Beyond my security experience, one thing that makes The People’s Security stand out is my background working in California in both security and entertainment environments. I’ve worked security at concerts, sporting events, dispensaries, nightlife venues, and high-traffic locations where professionalism, awareness, and communication are extremely important. I also worked as a Production Assistant on television commercials and productions, which gave me experience working around talent, film crews, fast-paced schedules, and high-pressure environments. That experience taught me how important organization, timing, communication, and professionalism are when dealing with large teams and the public. Working in both security and production helped me develop strong people skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure while keeping operations running smoothly. I understand how to work with different personalities, adapt quickly, and maintain a professional environment at all times.
